Christmas Tree Sale:
Amy Wooden is coordinating and has spoken with suppliers re: varieties and prices of trees. Price difference between top and bottom quality trees is about $5. Higher priced trees provide higher margin. Supplier is also willing to do customized, color coded tags (Boy Scout Troop 100) by type of tree at no charge.
Supplier will also buy back remaining trees at half whatever price we pay. Purchased 100 units in past years. Need to decide what level of quality and what quantities to buy this year. Targeting a December 8 sale date. Parents will be needed as volunteers.
Pancake Breakfast:
October 27 from 8:00 to 11:00 am. Volunteers needed to solicit grocers and others for necessary ingredients. Tickets will be distributed to scouts this evening. Next week's meeting will start at 7:00 pm to provide scouts time to break into buddy pairs and make sales in the surrounding neighborhood. Parents are encouraged to attend and assist. Michele would like to get notices in church bulletins for St. Anns, St. Columba's, Janney School, Communit-E (Kathy Smith). Emphasize neighborhood tradition (19th year).
Advancement:
This past Monday's meeting ran very late. Would it be possible to stagger reviews on alternate nights, and at assigned times? Also suggestion made to conclude any board of review meeting no later than 9:00 pm.
Meeting adjourned at 9:05 pm.
Kip Gregory
Committee Secretary
