Dottie McCarthy, Chairperson – Opened the meeting at 7:40.
Item 1 - Subcommittees could be useful in our organization. Volunteers /ideas thus far:
· Judy Russ – Hospitality
· Olivia Baker – Paperwork
John to let Dottie know what would be helpful to him.
Item 2 - Dinner/Salute to Scouting – Honoring Msgr. Brady; a priest who served God and scouting
· Tickets are expensive ($250 per person); ad is $350
· Dottie feels that this is too expensive; all agree
· She suggests sending a card signed by the boys
· Dottie will create a certificate of appreciation of some kind for the kids to sign

Item 3 - Re: The planning of a summer wilderness camping trip. Typically this is a high adventure event for ages 13 and older who are first class ranked scouts. John will begin thinking about this.
Item 4 - Rock Creek Park merit badge opportunities were listed on the Scout’s website. Olivia Baker will follow-up on this.

Pancake Breakfast Results
Gross income = $3,160
Expenses = $ 810
Net income: $2,350
Current bank balance is $9460.
Scoutmaster Report – John LeMon
Two Troop Events have been completed thus far
· Pancake Breakfast
· Camp-O-Ree – 2nd place out of 14 Troops in attendance-The Troop will be given plaque in recognition of their ranking.
Dates to note:
· Nov 6-8 - This weekend is the Hike-O-Ree for older scouts. Cost is $25
· Nov 14 is Safeway Scouting for Food event
Nov 21 -22 – Next Campout site TBA

· Dec 12 is the Christmas Tree Sale
Scott Hoke; Alex Francisi; and Josh Noel all turn 18 by end of this year after which they will no longer participate in regular Troop 100 meetings. Matt Bond will turn 18 in April.
2005 Eagle Scout Michael Newman will join the Troop 100 as an Assistant Scout Master.
Richard Lambert Address the Committee - New commissioner – 3rd Ward
A recruiting event will be held next Tuesday where they will speak with 6th Grade Boys at Deal Middle School. The event will be held at Ft. Reno Park from 3:30 to 4:30. They will set up a mock campsite to attract boys after school. All 5 area troops are invited to participate.
