Parent - Son Shines

The May 30-31 Parent-Son Campout was a great time.Beaver Patrol Skit

Scoutmaster John Le Mon sends his thanks to all, especially those who helped in the kitchen.

The late May weather was wonderful, and we welcomed a new Scout (Michael Vigdor) into the Troop.

Unfortunately, Tom Gross, in successfully negotiating the “electric fence” activity (I gave him a 9.3 for form and technique), landed badly and broke his ankle (otherwise, he would have scored a perfect “10”).  We all heard a “pop” and initially thought it was a stick breaking as he landed, but that was not the case as finally confirmed by an X-ray at the local hospital. Tom came back, however, on crutches and competed the weekend without too much difficulty. Let’s all hope for a speedy recovery.

Also on some other not so good news, we are losing two of our Scouts and their families – Leander Sante and his family are moving back to Germany and Alex Aparicio and his mom are moving to Canada. They will all be greatly missed.

Remember that this Wednesday is a Troop Committee Meeting, but there will be no court of Honor. The next COH will be on June 17 OR June 24 to give those who are close to rank advancement the chance to do so before Goshen.

On June 10 we will have the annual Troop picnic in Rock Creek Park.
