May 2010 Committee Minutes
In Attendance: Dottie McCarthy, Hedda Garland, Penny Farthing, Donald Francis, Jill Casasola, Julie Waddell, Olivia Baker, Mike Kirkpatrick, John LeMon, Gail Swentkofske, Elizabeth Gross, Ralph Wooden.

From Scoutmaster’s Report
· The boys had a great trip to West Point. The weather was good. They earned ribbons in Land Navigation and Knot Tieing. It was noted by Dave Hutchinson that the sabre-winning troop had also won last year. They prepare well to win. A troop we know from Goshen placed third.
· There is a District dinner on Friday night – 4 places available if anyone would like to attend.
· The Parent Son trip will be at Broad Creek Scout Reservation – May 21 -23.
· There was some discussion re: the Eagle Court of Honor for Alex, Scott, Matt and Michael. Due to travel and scheduling issues this may not happen until the fall. Gail S helped prepare an Eagle Court in her son’s former troop in Texas. She will look for her notes and pass them on.
· John will distribute a medical form for Goshen. All boys must have it completed before the trip.
· Adirondacks Trip – July 10-18. We will have 2 crews.
· Washington Castles Tennis Team – may be in touch for a color guard on July 6&7.
· Elizabeth will help put together a list of committee positions to fill for next year.
